
Payroll scheme registration
Introduction
This schedule sets out the scope of services we will provide.
The purpose of this schedule is to clearly define what is and is not included in the scope of our work.
This schedule should be read in conjunction with our engagement letter and our standard terms of business.
Included work
As part of our agreed services, we will:
- Register your business as an employer with HMRC for PAYE
- Obtain your Employer PAYE reference number and Accounts Office reference
- Advise you on the key information required to set up payroll correctly (e.g. pay frequency, employee details)
- Provide confirmation of successful registration and next steps for operating a payroll scheme
Please note: this list is not exhaustive. Any work not specifically listed under "Included work" is deemed outside the scope of this engagement unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Where additional work is required, we will advise you of the scope, our proposed fee, and obtain your agreement before proceeding.
Excluded work
The following work is outside the scope of this service unless separately agreed in writing:
- Ongoing payroll processing, including payslip preparation and RTI submissions
- Auto-enrolment pension scheme registration and compliance
- Assistance with payroll software setup, configuration, or training
- Advice on employment law matters or contracts of employment

Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate and complete information required to register the PAYE scheme (e.g. business details, director and employee data)
- Confirm the accuracy of all information provided before we submit to HMRC
- Inform us of any material changes that may affect the registration process
- Ensure that appropriate payroll software or support is in place to operate payroll in compliance with HMRC requirements
Our responsibilities
We agree to:
- Prepare and submit the PAYE registration application to HMRC using the information you provide
- Advise you on the basic obligations of operating a PAYE scheme
- Notify you once your scheme has been registered and supply the necessary reference numbers
- Treat your information with confidentiality and handle it in accordance with our data protection policy
