
Companies House identity verification support
Introduction
This schedule sets out the scope of services we will provide.
The purpose of this schedule is to clearly define what is and is not included in the scope of our work.
This schedule should be read in conjunction with our engagement letter and our standard terms of business.
Included work
As part of our agreed services, we will:
- Explain the identity verification requirements and the process involved, including what documents and information will be needed
- Guide you through the Companies House identity verification process step by step, either remotely, at our office, or at an agreed location
- Assist you in completing the verification application using the GOV.UK One Login system or via our status as an Authorised Corporate Service Provider (ACSP) where applicable
- Obtain and record your Companies House personal code upon successful verification
- Update our internal systems with your verified status and personal code
Please note: this list is not exhaustive. Any work not specifically listed under "Included work" is deemed outside the scope of this engagement unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.
Where additional work is required, we will advise you of the scope, our proposed fee, and obtain your agreement before proceeding.
Excluded work
The following work is outside the scope of this service unless separately agreed in writing:
- Legal advice on your obligations under the Economic Crime and Corporate Transparency Act 2023
- Identity verification for individuals other than those specifically named in this engagement
- Assistance with GOV.UK One Login account setup beyond what is directly required to complete the verification process
- Resolving disputes or issues with Companies House arising from a failed or challenged verification
- Ongoing monitoring of your verification status or renewal of verification where required in future

Your responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide valid, in-date identity documents as required by the Companies House verification process
- Ensure the information provided during the verification process is accurate and not misleading
- Attend our office or agreed location at the arranged time where in-person assistance has been agreed
- Notify us promptly of any changes to your personal details that may affect your verified status
- Inform us of any correspondence received from Companies House relating to your identity verification
Our responsibilities
We agree to:
- Provide clear and practical guidance to support you through the identity verification process
- Handle your personal information and identity documents with strict confidentiality and in compliance with data protection laws
- Record your personal code securely on our internal systems upon successful verification
- Confirm completion of the verification process to you in writing
- Keep you informed of any issues that arise during the process that may require further action on your part
Please note: we cannot guarantee the outcome of the verification process, as the decision to approve or reject an application rests solely with Companies House. We accept no liability for delays or rejections arising from factors outside our control.
