Introduction

This schedule sets out the scope of services we will provide.

The purpose of this schedule is to clearly define what is and is not included in the scope of our work.

This schedule should be read in conjunction with our engagement letter and our standard terms of business.

Included work

As part of our agreed services, we will:

  • Request details of all relevant benefits provided to directors and employees during the tax year
  • Prepare forms P11D for each relevant employee/director and form P11D(b) for the employer
  • Calculate the total Class 1A National Insurance liability due on the benefits
  • Submit P11D and P11D(b) forms to HMRC by the statutory deadline (typically 6 July following the tax year)
  • Provide copies of submitted forms to you for distribution to employees
  • Notify you of the payment deadline for Class 1A NIC (typically 22 July if paying electronically)

 

Please note: this list is not exhaustive. Any work not specifically listed under "Included work" is deemed outside the scope of this engagement unless we have expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

 

Where additional work is required, we will advise you of the scope, our proposed fee, and obtain your agreement before proceeding.

Excluded work

The following work is outside the scope of this service unless separately agreed in writing:

  • Advice on structuring remuneration or employee benefits
  • Assistance with setting up or administering salary sacrifice arrangements
  • Reporting PAYE-settled agreements (PSAs)
  • Rectifying errors or omissions in prior year P11Ds, unless due to our error
  • Calculating benefits not supported by complete information (e.g. benefit valuations)
  • Dealing with HMRC enquiries or disputes relating to benefits in kind

Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Provide full and accurate information on all benefits and expenses provided to employees and directors
  • Approve the forms for submission once prepared
  • Ensure employees receive their copy of the P11D on time
  • Make prompt payment of Class 1A NIC due to HMRC
  • Inform us of any changes to benefit arrangements during the year

Our responsibilities

We agree to:

  • Prepare and submit the forms based solely on the information you provide
  • Apply the appropriate tax rules to each benefit based on current HMRC guidance
  • Keep your information confidential and secure
  • Notify you of any issues we identify that may affect compliance
